We have seen many 8mpx cameraphones come and go, but this is a first for the Korean market. Apart from its 8-megapixel lens, Samsung SCH-W740 or the Haptic 8M has other features that are equally high-end and include a big 800×480 pixel touchscreen display and support for HSUPA for up to 5.7 Mbps.

There is also a T-DMB receiver thrown in for good measure along with Bluetooth 2.0, and a business card scanner. A host of other camera-centric features like auto focus, face tagging, smile recognition, and a Xenon flash are available. One feature that sets the Haptic 8M aside from the other 8mpx shooters is its ability to translate a document to English automatically from a picture.
