Apple Mac Mini Gets Latest Core i7 Sandy Bridge Processor


Apple updated its Mac mini computer the most compact with the latest Intel Core and the new Mac OS X Lion. The new Mini also packs new dedicated graphics card and IO Thunderbolt. The Mac Mini measures only 7.7 inches square and 1.4 inch thick and has an aluminum design. It may latest Core i5 or Core i7 sandy bridge, up to 8 GB of memory and AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics processor power.

The new Mac mini supports Thunderbolt IO technology for high speed data transfer and display of Apple’s new Thunderbolt. It supports Bluetooth and WiFi. Mac OS X Lion pre-installed. Three different configurations available and users can add more memory, better hard drive or SSD in acquiring them.

The 2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 Mac mini with 2 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive starts at a suggested retail price of $ 599 (U.S.), with options for adding memory until 8 GB and 750 GB hard drive.

The 2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 Mac mini with 4GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive starts at a suggested retail price of $ 799 (U.S.), with options up to 2.7 GHz dual-core Core i7 processor, up to 8 GB of RAM and a 750 GB hard drive to replace with an option to add a disk or 256 GB SSD.

The 2.0 GHz Quad-Core Intel Mac mini with a database server Lion i7 4 GB of RAM and dual 500 GB hard drive starts at a suggested retail price of $ 999 (U.S.). The options include adding up to 8 GB of RAM, two hard drives of 750 GB or up to two drives of 256 GB SSD.
