Seagate Pulsar XT.2 Enterprise SSD for Online Transaction Processing, Database, Web Indexing and Mail Server


The new Pulsa XT enterprise solid-state drive from Seagate. Seagate today announced that it now uses the pulsar XT.2 Solid State Drive (SSD). This is one of the enterprise SSD for business-class, which were announced in March. The second disc is the Pulsar.2 which will also be available for purchase at the end of this month.

The Pulsar XT.2 SSD is the company’s flagship solid-state solution for the company. Seagate says the Flash Player to the level of individual cells with a native 6 Gb / s Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and the combined interface is the fastest reader in the internal storage portfolio Seagate.

The SSD comes in the traditional 2.5-inch design, providing up to 400 GB capacity. It is for the speed and complex, mixed workloads typical corporate environments such as online transaction processing, database and indexing Web and e-mail optimized.

The SSD Pulsar.2 the other hand, is based on cellular technology at various levels, similar to SSD quality consumer, with an emphasis on performance, and therefore better suited for data centers. Seagate says the drive offers up to 800 GB of storage space and provides reliable data integrity and reliability for enterprise applications are required. It also supports two native 6Gb / s SAS and SATA (Serial ATA) 6 Gb / s interfaces for the storage of primary and secondary servers.
