Vivitek highlights the portability of 3D-D538W by a felt bag for free, and he carries his tiny dimensions pretty well, especially with his white uniform. The finish is a bit plasticky, and some people do not like the number of grids on each side of the projector. But personally, we did not notice that these grid diminished collected from the aesthetics of evil, and they really hope that the projector can be in a position with extremely high brightness of 3200 lumens claimed, without running too hot or too hard to face.
Membership in Figure ultra-high gloss on the data D538W-3D is a respectable loss ratio 3000:1 contrast – although experience shows that if you have a light figure is close to or even greater than a figure contrast ratio you often end up with an image that lacks much in the black level. Hopefully this will not be the case with the 3D-D538W.
3D-D538W connections are via a single HDMI connector, the inevitable PC port D-Sub, composite video input, one S-video input, a mini-jack audio input, stereo RCA audio input and a control port RS-232. The HDMI port is apparently one rather than the v1.4 to v1.3, one might have expected.
To some extent, the D538W-3D is a better than expected to perform in 2D. Colors look punchy and surprisingly believable in tone, assuming you have the level of gamma set correctly for your type of source – and the system of color management is always at hand if the color balance n ‘ is not quite right in a particular feeling. The projector is extremely light – even using the default image of his films – also helps the bright colors and eye-catching look. There are a few rainbow effects low-level, if you fly your eyes on a photo with a mixture of light and dark content, but it is not a problem if you see something normal.
Motion is expected to be a little juddery, but certainly not catastrophic like that, and the levels of sharpness are good considering it not a full-HD projector.
The 3D-D538W with high brightness, now expanded its “casual use” powers by taking images to be easily monitored, even in high ambient light. However, the high luminosity also leads us to the greatest weakness D538W-3D images: their lack of contrast.
The projector is not really capable of reproducing such a thing as a true black – especially if you do not have 3D glasses on. Instead, in a dark room, you just get a milky gray all over, what should look black. Damn.
The only good news, where dark scenes are concerned that the general did not cast out, the projector of reproduction is a good amount of shadow detail.
If you were paying attention earlier, you will notice that we mentioned the presence of audio inputs on the 3D-D538W. For in accordance with its multi-purpose “home casual” or degrees / business, it has a mono speaker with a set of 2W – count em ‘- audio performance.
Needless to say, these speakers may not be a sound stage, which, in any manner, whether rich or detailed enough to satisfy us, if a movie is even slightly in any serious way. But we understand why the President needs to be there, and at least the noise is clearly within its strict quantitative limits. It is a struggle for both to be heard over the noise of the most powerful projector fan, though.
AV fans are certainly not as 3D-D538W. 3D performance reduces the resolution of the Blu-ray 3D and 2D contrast images are extremely short – or, more precisely, its black level response.
But enthusiasts say that AV is not as Vivitek D538W-3D is told as a vegetarian is not a rare steak. The two things do not go together. And bright, welcoming 2-D images – - On the contrary, D538W-3D is an affordable device for people, very compact and versatile which is always ready to rock oriented around and delivers a surprisingly pleasing picture without the 3D need for any external electronic devices. And it is a target market is actually quite busy.
